As of last year, the oil refining depth at the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery was 90.8 percent, SOCAR said on Monday.
According to SOCAR, this was the result of optimizing the plant's activity, as well as the rational management of major technological units.
"The plan for raw materials processing was carried out at 104.3 percent," a statement said. "The volume of processing raw materials last year was 95,900 more than the processing volume in 2010."
Oil is refined at two plants in Azerbaijan. The total capacity of both refineries is 20 million tons per year. SOCAR recycles oil produced in the onshore and offshore fields at its own expense.
