Solar panel station put into operation in Iran's Semnan Province

A 48.2-kilowatt solar panel station was commissioned in the Semnan Province (northern Iranian), today on August 24, managing director of the Semnan Province Electric Power Distribution Company Mohammad Mousavizadeh said, Trend reports citing Ministry of Energy of Iran.

The director noted that the station will produce 81,600 kilowatts of electricity per year.

He added that the solar panel station is expected to generate 1.63 billion kilowatt hours of electricity over 20 years.

Mousavizadeh emphasized that the spread of more than 55 tons of greenhouse gases per year will be prevented as a result of the plant's operation.

“More than 22,100 cubic meters of gas and 17,400 liters of water will be saved per year with the operation of this station," he said.

Today on August 24, eight facilities in electricity sector have been commissioned in Iran's Semnan Province. In total, more than 46.4 billion rials (about $1.1 million) were spent on the construction of these facilities.
