As many as 363 units spare parts worth 50 billion rials (about $1.19 million) were purchased at Iran's Karoon Oil and Gas Production Company during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 20 through June 20, 2020), said Gholamreza Mofidi, Managing Director of Karoon Oil and Gas Production Company, Trend reports referring to the National Iranian South Oil Company’s website.
Mofidi noted that while 4,050 units spare parts worth 330 billion rials (about $7.85 million) were purchased from local producers in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020).
The director stressed that 52 units of equipment worth 5.3 billion rials (about $126,000) were produced in the country domestically in three months.
According to him, the company has also overhauled 74 pieces of equipment.
The Karoon Oil and Gas Production Company, which operates under the National Iranian South Oil Company, has the potential to produce more than 1 million barrels of oil per day.
