Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr S. Aliyev / The largest factor in implementation the NABUCCO project is resources, Azerbaijani Industry and Energy Resources Minister, Natik Aliyev, said on 1 June. "Preliminary documents proving the intentions of the producer-countries on supply of gas to the NABUCCO project are not expected to be developed soon and the countries are not expected to undertake any juridical liabilities to supply their gas by a definite time. This will be discussed during negotiations," Aliyev said.
There is a political will of the Presidents. And the companies operating in these countries have to undertake liabilities; financial enterprises have to express their viewpoints as to the benefits to come from the project and to state their willingness to finance it. The countries that do not see any need in the project have to develop special documents and feasibility studies in all directions," the Minister noted.
"The Caspian region can be viewed in the NABUCCO project as one of the branches, but not as the main supplier," he said.
