CEPT Plenary Session to be Held in Baku in December

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / The 37th plenary session of the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations will be held in Baku in December 2008, the Azerbaijani Communication and IT Ministry reported.

The session will be held on 5 and 6 December.

The session's agenda includes presentation of postal administrations of the conference country participant, different task group organizations, as well as the issues on preparations to the World Postal Union Congress in 2008 in Nairobi and liberalization of postal sphere.

CEPT is the European conference of administrations of posts and communications established by nineteen European countries in 1959. CEPT's members are 48 countries, Albania, Andorra, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Dania, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Britain and others.

CEPT has three committees; one is on postal communication (CERP) and two on telecommunication technologies (ERC and ECTRA).
