Azerbaijan is ready to consider the issue of participation of the Turkish Turktelecom Operator in the privatization of the Azerbaijani Aztelekom State Operator, the Minister of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan Ali Abbasov said during a meeting with the Minister of Transport and Communication of Turkey Binali Yildirim on August 3.
According to Abbasov, Turktelecom is interested in the expansion on the telecommunications market of Azerbaijan, and this issue has been discussed with the management of the operator.
"Today we consider the privatization of the two largest state telecommunications companies. And in the process of privatization, Azerbaijan will firstly consider the participation of the Turkish operator," said Abbasov.
