(gazeta.kz) вЂ" Kazakhstan wants to obtain membership in the World Tourism Organisation in the next two years, Temirkhan Dosmukhambetov, Minister of Tourism and Sports, said at a meeting in the Ministry speaking to Karim Massimov, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan Today correspondent reports.
"We are going to obtain membership in the Executive Committee of the World Tourism Organisation in 2008-2009. It is a very difficult job, no CIS republic is a member of the WTO council so far," - he added, reports Trend.
More than 130 world countries are members in the WTO. Kazakhstan joined the organisation in 1993.
