Mechanical engineering, aircraft building, automobile industry, production of gas turbines, refrigeration and other equipments, and IT technologies are among the perspective areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan Republic of Russia, says an article published by the ‘Neutral Turkmenistan’ newspaper.
The article was dedicated to the Turkmen-Tatar business forum, which has been held recently in Ashgabat with participation of Tatarstan’s President Rustam Minnikhanov.
A number of big Tatar companies and enterprises, such as KamAZ, Tatneft, KER-Holding, Kazan Helicopters and Ak Bars Holding took part in the event.
Representative offices of KamAZ, Tatneft and KER-Holding are already operating in Turkmenistan and several joint projects are underway.
“Tatarstan’s major companies and enterprises, including those operating in the spheres of oil and gas industry, water industry and other areas, intend to strengthen their positions in the Turkmen market,” according to the article.
