ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 11. Turkmenistan and Mongolia are enhancing their collaboration in the fuel and energy, transportation and communication, and agriculture sectors, Trend reports.

This was addressed in a meeting between Chairman of the People's Assembly Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and Mongolia’s President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, who came to Ashgabat to take part in the international forum "Interconnection of Times and Civilizations - the Basis of Peace and Development".

Berdimuhamedov and Khurelsukh stressed the necessity of enhancing connections in vital economic sectors. They acknowledged that both nations also possess considerable potential for further growth in cultural and humanitarian areas, as well as in science, education, sports, and tourism.

During their meeting, it was emphasized that the relationship between the two nations is rooted in openness, mutual respect, and understanding. The President of Mongolia expressed his belief that this visit would mark a significant milestone in enhancing bilateral cooperation.

Additionally, the two sides acknowledged successful interactions not only in bilateral formats but also within international organizations.

To note, the international forum "Interconnection of Times and Civilizations - the Basis of Peace and Development" is being held under the leadership of Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in Ashgabat.

The forum is held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, gathering leaders from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Mongolia, Iran, and Pakistan. Distinguished guests also include the Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, the head of Tatarstan, leaders of international organizations, government officials, renowned scholars, cultural figures, and diplomats.
