BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 11. Renewable energy sources can be applied in the healthcare sector of Azerbaijan, Trend reports, referring to the State Agency for Renewable Energy Sources (AREA) under the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan.
“With the assistance of the organization of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan, with the participation of leading consultant of the Strategic Analysis and Forecasting Department of AREA Ravan Azizov, the conference “Strategy of Health Workers' Trade Union for the sake of a green world” was held. During the conference, within the panel “Renewable Energy and Human Health” it was noted that renewable energy sources can be successfully utilized in the health sector of Azerbaijan,” the information of AREA notes.
The conference also included discussions on “Clean environment and green growth policy”, “Impact of climate change on human health, epidemiological analysis within the framework of holistic health”, “Impact of climate change on food and its role in human health”, “Preventive measures to eliminate the impact of natural and anthropogenic factors”.
To note, by 2030 the share of renewables in the total energy balance of the country will amount to 35 percent in Azerbaijan.
