BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 11. The Israeli press has condemned the Dutch Parliament for its one-sided approach to conflicts, particularly regarding Azerbaijan, Trend reports.

Sadly, the UN General Assembly is not the only one to have a one-sided approach to conflicts in the world. The Netherlands Parliament set out a program that includes an International Security Chapter, which, while mentioning the escalated conflicts, labels the liberation of Azerbaijani territories as the "takeover of Nagorno-Karabakh." The infamous resolution also accuses Azerbaijan of engaging in "ethnic cleansing and damage to cultural heritage."

The commentary comes from a prominent political scientist and former Israeli Minister of Communications, Satellite, and Cybersecurity, Ayoob Kara, in an article titled "UN General Assembly and the Netherlands: Two birds of a feather hindering conflict resolution" in the popular publication "Israel Hayom".

Kara described the emergence of such a document in the Dutch Parliament as a stark example of political recklessness, particularly as peace negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia are ongoing, yielding promising results.

He expressed disappointment that, during the 30 years of occupation of Azerbaijani lands, when over a million Azerbaijanis became refugees and internally displaced persons, Dutch parliament members never raised their voices. He pointed out that those who openly or covertly supported the occupiers have now backed actions undermining the normalization of relations between the two long-conflicted states.

Kara pointed out that the Dutch Parliament, which has ignored the expulsion of Azerbaijanis from Armenia and the previously occupied territories, along with the widespread destruction of Azerbaijan's cultural heritage, now adopts a fundamentally slanderous stance. He condemned any foreign interference in the normalization process, which involves establishing borders, as unacceptable.
