President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev discussed current state and prospects for development of bilateral cooperation during a telephone conversation, Kazakh media reported on May 21 citing the press service of the president of Kazakhstan.
Reportedly, the presidents of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan also discussed the implementation of the agreements at the highest level during the conversation.
The heads of state exchanged views on topical issues of the regional and international agenda.
The conversation took place on the initiative of the Uzbek side.
Earlier today, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Uzbek leader Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation and discussed strengthening of the strategic partnership between two countries in the political, trade and economic, and other spheres.
