Iran diesel deliveries to power plants increases by 170%

Iran increased diesel delivery to power plants by 168.4 percent (year-to-year) during first three weeks of the current fiscal year started on March 21, Energy Ministry's weekly report said.
During this period, the natural gas supplement to power plants decreased by 10.9 percent to 2.314 billion cubic meters, the ministry's official website reported on April 19.

According to the report, Iran delivered 51 million liters of diesel as well as 162 million liters of fuel oil (mazut) to power plants in three weeks of current fiscal year.

Deliveries of fuel oil to power plants indicate a 4.5 percent increase year-to-year.
During this period, about 11.846 billion kilowatt-hours electricity was generated.
