Quake of magnitude 5.3 shakes New Zealand's South Fiordland

( dpa ) - An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale shook New Zealand's Fiordland region Monday morning.

The shake was centred 80 kilometres north-west of the lakeside resort town Te Anau at a depth of 20 kilometres.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
