A 6,9-magnitude strong earthquake occurred west Vanuatu, Sputnik reported citing the United States Geological Service.
According to USGS, the earthquake occurred 109 kilometres (67 miles) west of the Sola village, which is the capital of Vanuatu Torba Province.
