Exports from Ankara, Istanbul to China decrease (Exclusive)

From January through September 2019, exports from Istanbul and Ankara to China amounted to slightly over $1 billion, a source in the Turkish Trade Ministry told Trend Oct. 28.

“From January through September 2019, exports from Istanbul to China decreased by 23.05 percent compared to the same period in 2018, amounting to $651.3 million,” the report said.

In the reporting period, exports from Ankara to China decreased by 29.86 percent compared to the same period in 2018, amounting to $369.6 million.

“In September this year, exports from Istanbul and Ankara to China amounted to $117.7 million,” said the report.

“The exports from Istanbul to China during the mentioned month decreased by 11.65 percent compared to September 2018, amounting to $67.5 million,” the ministry said. “In September, exports from Ankara to China amounted to $50.2 million, which is an increase of 31.80 percent compared to September 2018."

From January through September 2019, exports from Turkey to China decreased by 14.41 percent compared to the same period in 2018, amounting to $1.9 billion.

Turkey’s foreign trade turnover in September 2019 increased by 0.11 percent compared to the same period in 2018 and amounted to $32.2 billion.

From January through September 2019, Turkey’s total trade turnover amounted to $286.4 billion.
