Azadlyg elections bloc, which unites three leading opposition parties, still persists in staging a rally on Saturday (1 October) from 16.00pm to 18.00pm in the area around ’28 May’ subway station, Trend reports quoting Sardar Jalaloglu, the first deputy chairman of the Azerbaijan Democratic Party (ADP).

He also noted that the protestors were given relevant instructions. “In compliance with the law, no resistance will be shown to police. We ourselves will punish the protestors attempting to commit illegal actions. The authorities will be responsible for any violations during the action, as the rally that we plan to stage fully meets the law, he underscored.

Jalaloglu noted the protesters with flowers in hands will show different placards on elections. “We will also wave orange-color flags, which symbolize our revolution. Our key objective is to achieve a meeting with electors,” he underlined.

Jalaloglu said that Musavat party will act as an organizer of the rally scheduled for 1 October.
