The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) continues the search for the worker missing after an accident at the faulty platform #441 of the Narimanovneft oil and gas production department.

Earlier, the dead bodies of 3 missing workers were found in 2 kilometers from the scene, a message from SOCAR said on Oct.25.

The accident claimed the lives of Faig Badalov (born in 1971), Ilkin Nebizade (born 1969) and Rovshan Ibrahimkhalilov (born 1956).

The search for another missing worker, Abdulhasan Huseynov (born 1961) is underway.

The structures collapsed at the faulty platform #441 of the Narimanovneft oil and gas production department during repair works there on Oct.23 at 12:00 (local time).

As a result, a workers' locker room on the platform fell onto a gas pipeline with a diameter of 700 millimeters, damaging it and causing a fire. Some 45 minutes later the fire was extinguished.

About 41 people were working at the site when the structures collapsed.

As a result of operative measures taken by a rescue brigade immediately after the accident, 37 people were evacuated from the scene to the beach on Orion-15 and PSK-52 vessels. The injured workers were treated by the doctors.
