A communiquГ© will be signed during the forthcoming visit of Alexei II, the patriarchy of Moscow and All Russia, to Azerbaijan from 14 to 15 September, Akif Nagi, the head of the press-service of the Caucasus Moslem Board, told Trend.
The visit is carried out at the invitation of Ilham ALiyev, the Azerbaijani President, and sheikh-ul-islam hadji Allahshukyur Pashazada, the chairman of the Caucasus Moslem Board. The patriarchy will arrive in Baku on 14 September at 14.00pm [local time].
The visit program includes tribute to Martyrs’ Cemetery and grave of former President Heydar Aliyev. The patriarchy is expected to meet with Pashazada on 15 September and hold a news conference at end of the meeting.
He also plans to meet with President Aliyev and leaders of religious communities in Azerbaijan.
Alexei II intends to congratulate the sheikh-ul-islam on 25th anniversary of his election to this post. The patriarchy also plans ministration in one of Baku churches.
It is come as the second visit of the patriarchy to Azerbaijan. His first visit was in May 2001.
