The law on ensuring the uniformity of measurements has entered into force in Turkmenistan, an official Turkmen source said on Monday.
The uniformity of measurements is a state of measurements when their results are in terms of the quantities permitted to be used in Turkmenistan.
Funding sources are individuals and entities coming from paid services by authorized bodies or other funds not prohibited by Turkmen law.
State control and supervision in the field of ensuring uniformity (hereinafter - the metrological control and supervision) is implemented by the Turkmen Cabinet of Ministers, the authorized body, other bodies of state power and control within their jurisdiction.
The Turkmen Cabinet of Ministers determines the unified state policy in the field of ensuring uniformity of measurements; issues normative legal acts of Turkmenistan in this field, specifies the authorized agency, organizes the interaction of the authorized body and other organs of state power and control in this field, approves the program of international cooperation in ensuring uniformity of measurements; performs other functions assigned to it by the legislation of Turkmenistan in the field of uniformity measurements.
Turkmenistan allows the use quantity units involved in the international system of measurement units, adopted by the General Conference on Weights and Measures.
Disputes arising in the field of ensuring uniformity of measurements are settled in accordance with the legislation of Turkmenistan.
