Japan is ready to offer Turkmenistan its experience and advanced technologies, Prime Minister of Japan Abe Shinzo said during the Turkmen-Japanese negotiations in Ashgabat, the Turkmen Dovlet Khabarlary state news agency said.
The information said that the head of the Japanese government thanked President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov for the trust to Japanese companies participating in major projects for the development of local industry.
"New bilateral agreements on the construction of gas and chemical plant, power plant and other projects are evidence of further close partnership," said the statement. "In total, the cost of these projects amounts to over $18 billion."
The distinguished guest said the Japanese companies are also interested in participation in projects to develop industrial infrastructure of the Galkynysh field based on the GTL (gas to liquid) technology.
