Shahid Hasheminejad Gas Refinery Co. is Iran's largest sulfur production unit as it produces over 2,000 metric tons of sulfurous products every day.

The company's CEO, Nasser Eslami said that the company's sulfurous products come with a purity of 99.98 percent, IRIB news agency reported Feb. 28.

The official added that part of the company's output is packed in the form of seeds to be sent to markets as a way to help protect the environment.

He asserted that complying with the guidelines to protect the environment is a policy that the refinery strictly follows.

Shahid Hasheminejad Gas Refinery feeds the country's pipelines with 59 million cubic meters of sour and sweet gas every day, Eslami further said.

"In the first ten months of the Iranian calendar year 1393 (starting Mar. 21) there has been no halt in our gas production," the official noted, adding that in the current season of winter, the company refined over 60 million cubic meters of gas.

The Shahid Hasheminejad gas processing plant as the only refining facility in the eastern part of Iran is fed by gas reserve located in Khangiran near the city of Sarakhs, 165 kilometers east of Mashhad, capital of the Khorasan Razavi province.

The facility supplies gas to six provinces of the country and produces a variety of products including naphtha, kerosene, gasoil and raw gasoline.
