A forest fire broke out last night in a forest area near Istanbul, Hurriyet newspaper reported on Thursday.
According to the newspaper, the fire quickly spread to a vast area due to strong wind.
Fire fighters and special equipment arrived at the scene, and the fire was extinguished within a few hours. An area of one hectare was burned down as a result of the fire.
