Japanese Defence Ministry hosted a meeting between Defence Minister Itsunori Onodera and Georgian Ambassador to Japan, Levan Tsintsadze, Georgia's Foreign Ministry said on March 4.
The parties discussed Georgian Defense Minister Irakli Alasania's planned visit to Japan.
Japanese defence minister stressed the importance of the visit of his Georgian counterpart and expressed hope that the Georgian delegation's visit will be very fruitful.
Georgian ambassador in turn expressed his willingness to cooperate actively to promote friendly relations.
Tsintsadze also expressed hope that the visit will contribute to development of bilateral relations and strategic cooperation.
