As of January-March 2014, the Azerbaijani metallurgical industry and enterprises produced products and rendered services worth 94.7 million manat, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said on April 15.
The volume of production in metallurgical industry increased 17.5 percent, finished metal products during this period- 3.6 percent compared to the same period of 2013, according to the report.
Some 121,300 tons of iron casting were produced during this period or 72.2 percent less than the same period of 2013. Some 8,200 tons of steel pipes were produced during this period or 65.6 percent less than in the same period of 2013.
Amount of production of iron casting reached 1,100 tons, which is 2.4 percent more than the same period of 2011.
The volume of ferro-concrete reinforcement production hit 60,400 tons in the country during this period or by 4.8 percent more compared to the same period of 2013.
The volume of exported pipes made from ferrous metal hit 7326.6 tons (to the amount of over $6.92 million) in January-February 2014, which is by 42 percent (in monetary terms by 44.7 percent) less compared to the same period of 2013.
