The European Union has allocated funds to Georgia in the amount of 4.6 million euros for the modernization of checkpoint on the border with Armenia.

The project envisages the introduction of advanced technology at the Sadakhlo-Bagratashen checkpoint on the Georgian- Armenian border to its compliance with the latest European standards, as well as the development of cross-border trade, simplification transit transportation and increase of throughput, the press-service of the Georgian government reported.
