Foreign ministers of Russia and Georgia may meet during the OSCE Ministerial Council in Belgrade, Serbia, Dec. 3-4, RIA Novosti quoted Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin as saying Nov. 21.

"The OSCE Ministerial Council will be held in early December, and the ministers of the two countries will arrive there too," Karasin said, answering a question on the time of a meeting between the two countries' FMs.

He noted that therefore there will be an opportunity for a meeting as part of the OSCE Ministerial Council, but no concrete plans have been made on this matter yet.

Tbilisi broke off diplomatic ties with Russia after Moscow announced that it recognized the independence of Georgia's separatist regions - Abkhazia and South Ossetia (Tskhinvali region) in August 2008.

At the moment, the two countries maintain dialogue as part of the Geneva discussions and regular meetings between the Georgian PM's Special Representative Zurab Abashidze and Grigory Karasin, held in Prague.
