Baku, Azerbaijan, Feb.9

Trend:

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev held a phone conversation during which they discussed the possible ways of settlement of the crisis in Ukraine's southeast, Kremlin's press service said on Feb.9.

The sides also discussed some practical aspects of the integration cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union, RIA Novosti reported.

The situation in the southeast of Ukraine deteriorated dramatically in the beginning of 2015, despite a ceasefire agreement signed at peace talks in Minsk, Belarus, in September 2014.
