A Dutch journalist who in January was acquitted by a Turkish court of writing propaganda for terrorist organization has been detained in southeast Turkey, Anadolu reported.
Geerdink has been working in Turkey since 2012 and is known for her work on the Kurdish issue and women's rights. In 2014, she wrote a book about the Roboski massacre perpetrated by the Turkish military titled, "The boys are dead." She is a regular contributor to the online news website Diken.
