Ashgabat will host (Austria) Culture Days of Vienna April 12-16, National television channel Altin Asir reported.
The information says that the event will enhance the traditional ties and intergovernmental cooperation.
In November 2008, the country's president Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov paid an official visit to Austrian Republic.
"The upcoming event is intended to be a bridge of friendship, mutual understanding and trust between the peoples of Turkmenistan and Austria," Turkmen leader said at the last governmental meeting.
He also emphasized "importance of strengthening the constructive political, economic and cultural dialogue between the two countries".
The Austrian company OMV is participant of the Nabucco project. The project envisages the gas transportation from the Caspian region and the Middle East to EU. Nabucco gas pipeline project is worth €7.9 billion. Maximal capacity of the pipeline will hit 31 billion cubic meters per year.
Participants of the project are also Hungarian MOL, Bulgarian Bulgargaz, Romanian Transgaz, Turkish Botas and German RWE companies.
