Somali pirates have demanded $15 million for the release of Georgian sailors from a Greek company that owns the ship from which they were taken, the company that hired sailors from Adjara told journalists.

According to their information, the owner of the vessel initially offered the pirates $75,000 and later $150 000, but the pirates have demanded $15 million for the thirteen seamen. On previous experience, the company believes that the hostages are unlikely to be released for less than $ 1 million.

The Georgian sailors were taken hostage in August.
