BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 21. The Western Azerbaijan Community has recently sent an appeal to the speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova, Trend reports.
According to the information, the appeal highlights that the Western Azerbaijan Community, engaged in active international activities, actively participates in events within international organizations, consistently bringing up the issue of the return of Azerbaijanis who have been expelled from their native lands to Western Azerbaijan. Even states and international organizations, despite their bias towards Azerbaijan, find themselves compelled to view this issue as a significant human rights argument.
The information indicates that the letter proposes to create a
structure in the Azerbaijani parliament on the issue of returning
to Western Azerbaijan. The establishment of such a structure in the
Parliament, which first demonstrates the country's consensus on
this issue, will enable effective promotion of this topic through
parliamentary diplomacy, while also considering the legislative
aspects of the Western Azerbaijan problem.
Azerbaijani Parliament Speaker Sahiba Gafarova ordered the
establishment of the Initiative Group on Return to Western
Azerbaijan in the Parliament under the leadership of MP Aziz
Alakbarov to support the realization of the right of Azerbaijanis
expelled from Western Azerbaijan to return to their native
lands.
The order reflects the duties and powers of the Initiative Group for Return to Western Azerbaijan.
