BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 21. Today, Azerbaijan marks the fourth anniversary of the Minjivan settlement's liberation in the Zangilan district from Armenian occupation.

On October 21, 2020, along with Minjivan, Khurama, Khumarli, Saril, Babailli, Uchunju Aghali, Hajalli, Girakh Mushlan, Udgun, Turabad, Ichari Mushlan, Malikli, Jahangirbayli, and Baharli villages in the Zangilan district were also liberated.

Additionally, the Azerbaijani Army liberated the villages of Gejagozlu, Ashaghi Seyidahmadli, and Zargar villages (Fuzuli district), Balyand, Papi, Tulus, Hajili, and Tinli (Jabrayil district).

To note, under the leadership of the Supreme Commander, President Ilham Aliyev, and thanks to the bravery of the Azerbaijani army and the unity of our people, territories that had been under occupation for 30 years were liberated in just 44 days, restoring the territorial integrity of the country.

After the victory in the 44-day Second Karabakh War, President Ilham Aliyev proposed a peace agreement to Armenia. However, Armenia rejected the offer and continued provocations and terrorist acts on Azerbaijani territory. In response, Azerbaijan carried out localized anti-terrorist measures, and within less than 24 hours, Armenian separatists were forced to surrender to the Azerbaijani army.

As a result, the armed forces of Armenia and illegal Armenian formations laid down their arms, vacated combat positions, and the illegal junta regime in Karabakh was dismantled. Azerbaijan fully restored its sovereignty over the entire territory, and the leaders of the separatists were arrested.
