BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 21. Pre-sessionals on COP29 will start in Baku from November 4 this year, Member of the Coordination Council of the COP29 Operating Company Ayan Najaf said, Trend reports.
She made the announcement during a seminar on “Understanding and analyzing ESG (environmental, social, and corporate governance) reports.”
“Pre-sessionals on COP29 will start in Baku from the 4th of November this year; they will be held at the Baku Olympic Stadium,” she said.
To note, in the context of significant international gatherings like the UN climate change conferences, pre-sessional activities encompass preliminary discussions, working group meetings, or technical meetings wherein representatives from various countries and experts deliberate on critical issues, prepare documentation, and establish positions prior to the main session.
