Azerbaijan amends law on non-cash payments for municipalities

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 21. Municipalities are offered to carry out fees in non-cash order, Trend reports.

According to the information, the issue is reflected in the proposed amendment to the law “On non-cash settlements," which was discussed at the meeting of the Azerbaijani Parliament's Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, and Entrepreneurship.

Under Article 3.4.1 of the law, taxes are collected in a non-cash procedure. This provision also applies to municipal taxes.

Following the proposed amendment to the law, it is also proposed to carry out non-cash settlements on payments for services and other fees paid to municipalities.

The amendments will contribute to the electrification of the formation and execution of the municipal budget and thereby ensure transparency and increase the efficiency of the execution of the local budget and the use of funds.
