State Committee Representatives to Provide Technical Equipment for Headquarters in Russia

The Chief of the Department for Russia of the State Committee for Work with Azerbaijanis Residing Abroad, Shakir Salmanov, informed Trend that the representatives of the State Committee will be sent to Russia to resolve the problems with the registration of the Azerbaijanis residing in Russia. He said that headquarters have been created in 7 regions of Russia to assist in resolving migration problems of the Azerbaijanis. According to the task of the Head of the State Committee, Nazim Ibrahimov, the representatives will be sent to Russia to provide the headquarters with computers and other technical equipments.

According to Salimov, the people who appeal to the central headquarter created in Moscow are interested in the existing situation and activities of headquarter. He said that several Azerbaijanis come to the headquarter and show their documents, adding that irrespective of the implementation of the new law on migration in Russia, Azerbaijanis have not been expelled from Russia in a mass form. Very few Azerbaijanis can be expelled, but mass expelling is not observed. The State Committee and Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Azerbaijan have prepared special booklets. These booklets will be disseminated in the places settled by the Azerbaijanis, border checkpoints, airplanes and stations. The booklets contain information on place, where the Azerbaijanis may appeal if problems appear, and other necessary procedures, Salimov said.

All measures are implemented according to the order of the Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev, On problems of the Azerbaijani citizens involved in trade in then territory of the Russian Federation dated November 22, 2006.
