Azerbaijan to Participate at Meeting of CIS Member-States’ Education Ministries’ Council

Azerbaijan, Baku/ Trend / The Nineteenth Council on Co-operation in the Field of Education of CIS Member-States are expected to be held in Dushanbe on May 3-4, a source in the CIS Executive Committee revealed. Members of the Council and Plenipotentiaries from CIS Countries, representative of basic organizations and educational institutes, which have the status of observers in the Council, as well as the CIS Executive Committee and Secretariat of Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of CIS Member-States, are expected to take part in the forthcoming event.

The Council will have to discuss issues of further development of co-operation between CIS countries regarding education. The issues mentioned will include the implementation of the Interstate Programme on Putting into Force the Convention on Forming the CIS United Educational Space, as well as preparation for the Draft-Action Plan on Development of Co-operation in the Field of Education until 2010, Draft-Decision on Attaching the Status of a Basic Organization on Teaching Adults to the Institute of Adults' Education of the Russian Education Academy, Draft-Action Plan on Implementation of the Conception on Development of Adults' Education in CIS Member-States and proposals on the installation of an integrated system of linguistic education of CIS Member-States, etc.

An Azerbaijan Education Ministry delegation will represent our country in the forthcoming event, a source in the Ministry says.
