Energy-efficient project being implemented in Kazakhstan's Almaty

Currently some five projects are nearing conclusion on the territory of Kazakhstan’s Almaty Industrial Zone, including a project categorized as ‘green’, a representative of the zone told Trend.

According to the representative, these include the project for construction of a vehicles plant of Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan, plant for manufacturing of steel welding pipes of large diameter of Asia Steel Pipe Corporation, plant for manufacturing of meat products and processed goods of Bizhan meat processing plant, plant for manufacturing of medical polymer products of Almerek company.

Furthermore, KSM Tekhnovid company is implementing a project, which can be categorized as ‘green’: construction of a plant for manufacturing of energy-efficient architectural facades.

As noted by representative, the environmental significance of the project is the reduction of expenditures in buildings and structures operation due to energy-efficient glazing: decrease of expenditures for heating is expected in fall and winter, whereas decrease of expenditures for air conditioning is expected in spring and summer.

The representative also noted that currently the commissioning work of the most costly project out of the mentioned projects (Asia Steel Pipe Corporation) is underway.

Currently, the Asia Steel Pipe Corporation’s plant for manufacturing of steel welding pipes of large diameter worth $100 million is being prepared for the launch.
