( dpa ) - The world's leading luxury carmaker BMW AG said Wednesday that sales had raced ahead last year by 14.3 per cent to 56 billion euros (82.8 billion dollars).
The jump in the carmaker's sales followed the launch last year of updates of its X5 sports utility and its compact Mini model.
BMW, which is based in Munich, Germany, released the sales results ahead of the publication in March of its latest earnings results.
