IMF First Deputy Managing Director John Lipsky said on Friday that talks with Turkey on a new lending pact had been 'very beneficial' and the two sides would remain in contact on technical issues, Reuters reported.
Turkish Economy Minister Ali Babacan said Turkey and the Washington-based lender would continue to remain in touch over the coming weeks.
Lipsky and Babacan were speaking to reporters after holding four hours of talks on a potential new lending accord.
