BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 26. The salary in the ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) sector amounted to 1,688 manat ($992.9) in the period from January through August 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's State Statistics Committee shows that this is 176.8 manat ($104) (11.7 percent) more than in the same period of last year.
The average monthly salary in this sphere in the state sector increased 199.2 manat ($117.1) (15.5 percent) to 1,483 manat ($872.3); in the private sector, it was 150.8 manat ($88.7) (8.9 percent) and amounted to 1,836 manat ($1,080).
Overall, along with the ICT sector, average monthly nominal wages in mining, financial and insurance activities, professional, scientific, and technical activities, and transportation and warehousing were higher than the national average.
