BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 25. A meeting took place at the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan with a delegation from Uzbekistan’s Zamin International Public Fund, led by the Fund's Executive Director Tamila Aliyeva, Trend reports.
In the course of the meeting, Azerbaijan's Health Minister Teymur Musayev pointed out the deep historical ties existing between the two nations, highlighting that their bilateral cooperation is flourishing.
"Mutual visits and regular meetings between the leaders of both countries are crucial for the development of our relations," the minister noted.
Musayev pointed to the successful partnership in healthcare, recalling the "Uzbek-Azerbaijani Health Decade" that took place in Tashkent last October, commemorating the centenary of the prominent figure of the Turkic world, Heydar Aliyev.
"Throughout this decade, medical professionals from both countries performed over one hundred surgical operations and health assessments utilizing cutting-edge technology. Moreover, during the IV meeting of health ministers from the Organization of Turkic States held in Shusha, several memoranda of understanding were signed between leading medical institutions in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan," he added.
The minister commended the efforts of the Zamin International Public Fund, which focuses on fostering sustainable development in Uzbekistan and enhancing the quality of life for its citizens. He also acknowledged the significant contributions of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation to the advancement of healthcare in Azerbaijan.
