A member of the Azerbaijani national team also took part in the fight for a medal.
Jalya Aliyeva fought for the championship in the finals and won.

World Champion Jalya Aliyeva fought for this title for the second
time. In the finals, she fought Ruka Natami from Japan. Aliyeva,
who lost to her opponent in the finals of last year's World
Championships, took revenge and won the title of World Champion.
Aliyeva won the tense fight with a score of 10:8.
