BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 24. Around 168,000 hectares of land have been cleared of land mines in the territories liberated from Armenian occupation, Head of the Demining Department at the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) Ramil Azizov said at a roundtable discussion dedicated to landmine victims, Trend reports.
"A total of 161,000 mines have been cleared of mines in these regions,” he said.
Azizov also noted that around 1.5 million mines remain in the previously occupied territories.
