Violation of consumer rights revealed in Azerbaijan

The State Supervision Service on Consumer market at the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry revealed next facts of violation of consumers' rights, the ministry said on June 20.

Monitoring carried out on June 18 in the Sabail, Narimanov districts of Baku, as well as in the cities of Ganja, Sumgait, Yevlakh, Khachmaz and Zagatala revealed 1.1 tons of the expired food products, including sausages, confectionery products, vegetable oils, soft drinks, canned vegetables and more.

All products have been burnt.

Monitoring has not revealed any violation of consumer rights at one of the selling points in the Ganja city, owned by Anar Ahmadov.

Protocols on administrative violations have been complied on three enterprises and 10 individuals.

Generally, after the decree of President of Azerbaijan on amendments and supplements to the Code of Administrative Violations, dated May 17, 15 enterprises have been fined worth 56,500 manats and 76 individuals - 114,500 manats.
