In Jan, Azerbaijan imported about 5,400 cars, or 69.5 percent more than in Jan. 2011, Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee told Trend on Friday.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the total cost of passenger cars imported in Jan. amounted to $49.6 million, which is 60.4 percent more than in Jan. 2011.
In Jan., Azerbaijan imported 581 units of trucks, which is 95.6 percent more than in Jan. 2011. The total cost of imported cars hit $16.67 million or 164.9 percent more than Jan. 2011.
Also in Jan. the country imported 65 buses, which is 3.2 percent more than in Jan. 2011. In Jan. buses were imported to the amount of $3.6 million, which is 37.2 percent more than in 2011.
