Animal breeding in the Dashoguz province of Turkmenistan is one of the main branches of agricultural production, the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper reported.

In accordance with Turkmen state programs, high-tech methods of management are actively introduced in the livestock sector of the province, the report said.

An animal breeding complex named after S.A. Niyazov in the province, intended for keeping 500 head of large horned livestock and annual processing of 2,000 tons of milk and 120 tons of meat, is one of examples of successful organization of the manufacturing process, according to the report.

“Modern technologies are involved here at all stages, from planting fodder crops to the manufacture of high-quality meat and dairy products,” the report noted.

Activity of entrepreneurs has significantly increased in the development of animal breeding, according to the report.

Several modern livestock farms with own forage lands and processing facilities of various capacities are being built on the land areas allocated by the Turkmen government for long-term use, the report said.

Over 15,000 tons of high-quality forage, which is more than planned, have been harvested in the province for the needs of the livestock sector, the report noted.
