BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 25. Food prices in Azerbaijan stabilized in March, the Center for Economic and Social Development (CESD) told Trend.
According to CESD monitoring, non-food products experienced the largest price growth in the consumer sector in March 2024.
Food costs remained stable in March. This is related to a relative reduction in imported inflation and the optimization of food consumption, with annual inflation at 4.6 percent.
To note, the nationwide consumer price index in March 2024 was 100.4 percent compared to March 2023. The consumer price index in March 2024 was 100.2 percent compared to the previous month, while in January-March it was 101 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. Meanwhile, the total production value of construction materials from January through March 2024 amounted to 274.6 million manat ($161.4 million), increasing by 34.4 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
