US-Ukrainian alcohol holding, Global Spirits, intends to approve the project of production in Azerbaijan by the end of this month, the holding told Trend Aug. 6.
"At this stage, the project is at the final phase of development. The dates, volumes, distributors and product range have not yet been decided. It is expected that the necessary documents will be approved, all permits and agreements will be signed, the range of products will be approved, and the distributor will be chosen until the end of August," a representative of the company said.
The Global Spirits stated that the enterprises will be located both in Baku and in the regions of Azerbaijan.
It was reported earlier that the owner of Global Spirits, Evgeniy Chernyak, told one of the Ukrainian radio channels that the holding will launch production in Azerbaijan and Belarus.
Global Spirits is the largest international alcohol holding in Eastern Europe. The portfolio of the holding includes vodka, cognac and wine brands. The products of Global Spirits are exported to more than 87 countries. Its head office is situated in New York.
