Output of agricultural products in Kazakhstan increased by 3.5 percent during the first seven months of this year, compared to the same period last year, the Committee for Statistics of the Kazakh Ministry of National Economy said in a message.
“In Kazakhstan, the gross output of agricultural, forestry and fishery products (services) in January-July 2018 amounted to 1,309.7 billion tenge, which is 3.5 percent more than in the same period last year,” the message said. “Output in livestock production amounted to 1,131.2 billion tenge (an increase of 4.1 percent), in crop production - 163.6 billion tenge (a 0.1 percent decrease).”
Meat production in Kazakhstan in January-July 2018 amounted to 148,535 tons, which is 5.9 percent more than in the same period of 2017.
During the reporting period, 298,542 tons of milk were produced in Kazakhstan (a 5.5 percent increase in comparison with January-July last year), 2,493,828 tons of flour (a 15.2 percent growth), 169,782 tons of sugar (a 12.1 percent decrease) and 46,172 tons of cereals (a 23.1 percent growth).
